The Hoofbeats & Heartbeats Board meets monthly and communicates often as we work to accomplish our mission of providing therapy opportunities to individuals with special needs and limited financial resources. Each board member volunteers their time and brings a variety of interests, experiences and talents to the organization. Molly has been active with hippotherapy programs for over 10 years. Seeing the tremendous effectiveness of this approach to therapy, she joined the HBHB board to enable more individuals
to experience the benefits. Molly is a graphic designer and illustrator. She has also worked with numerous nonprofit organizations, including museums, zoos, and nature centers.
Mary became involved with Hippotherapy and Therapeutic Riding in 2006 when her daughter first began Equine Therapy. She has seen the many positive benefits of Equine Therapy and the incredible
difference it has made in her daughter's life. She is thrilled to now be a part of this wonderful organization. Mary has been an elementary educator for over 25 years. She is married with 3 children.
Janie joined the HBHB Board in the fall of 2002 after designing a sensory butterfly garden at a local equine-assisted therapy facility. She is employed seasonally in the sales office at a wholesale
plant nursery and raises monarch butterflies for fun, as well as educational and conservation purposes. Janie is also training to be a nature/forest therapy guide. She has lived in the St. Charles area since 2005.
Carrie joined HBHB in 2018. She has long been a "horse girl" and has been riding since she was young. She is currently pursuing course work in Speech Language Pathology. Her love of horses along with a 10+ year
professional background in education and volunteering with nonprofits lead to her interest in HBHB's mission.
Ann has lived in St. Charles for over 30 years. She is an Account Manager with National Nursery Products, responsible for selling annual flowers to greenhouses, landscape contractors, and garden centers. Ann has
volunteered with equine assisted therapy for the past 10 years. She is also an active member of the Batavia, Geneva, St. Charles Branch of the American Association of University Women.
